Our local community have been very generous raising funds for West Mains School. A local business decided to donate one of their evening's takings to West Mains School. raising over £3500 for school funds and the Parent Council's project to enhance opportunities for the children to experience more food-based and cooking experiences We are trying to source a mobile oven for that can be used in the classrooms. Children can then do cooking in their classrooms, in familiar surroundings. Current arrangements involve the need to transition to other areas in the school, which causes high anxiety for many of our pupils.
All the pupils used paint to make a thumb print, each class had a different colour. An artist used this to create a painting of lots of balloons. We presented the picture to the owner of the Kraken Chippy. He is going to hang it in the shop in The Village...take a look if you are passing or buying a fish supper!
